Hey guys, I just purchased an 93 LS400 and noticed that when driving for an extended period of time after about and hour or 2 the heat will start to blow cold and hot. What could be causing this? Its 20 degrees Fer. and it can be a major annoyance. Plese help!

Checked your coolant level? My Carina blew stone-cold before, but that was because the water pump had decided to pump the coolant out of the car instead of around it! Temperature gauge correspondingly hit the red mark, mind!

Is your engine temperature gauge staying steady or is it wandering up and down?

The coolant lvl is fine just had the radiator flushed. Engine temp is wandering up and down after driving for a couple of hours. but it doesn't wander past the normal point only to cold and normal position, when I say normal im comparing it to the position my other 91 ls400 is normally at.... i'm stumped...
