Gave the car a good wash then tried the Meguiars Quik clay detailing System yesterday.

Worked a treat. Spray on the Liquid. Rub with the clay bar. Removed all the rusty speck without too much effort and without damaging the paintwork. Superb! :D

Then finished offwith a coat of Meguiars Gold Class Clear Coat Liquid Wax

Also used an Autoglym Silicone Car Dryer thingy. Very Good.

Was a bad case of industrial fallout after all.

Nice one mate! That's the problem with this forum - too many good ideas and you spend all your cash!

I tried the Carlack68 yesterday (Carsparkle.co.uk) on the wifes Honda Jazz as a practice for my IS when it arrives. It's the Acrylic sealant All In One. It's like "glass" now, the best that cars ever looked. Works wonders!

Raining today, but am just about to head off to the garage to apply Carnuba Wax...the car's sitting in there as dry as a bone...

Gimme summit to do today!

Done in less than 1hr, chuck all your Halfords rubbish in the bin, get P21s Carnuba and a couple of Microfibres - well worth the cash!!

The result is spectacular!

Pheeewww !! Glad to hear that it was just dirty !! :D

That Gold Class wax stuff is brill ain't it. I used that for ages on my Black Bora, and it just brought the colour of the paint out perfect. Now moved on though to the NXT Meguiars wax.

Just remember to wash it once a week, and keep a close eye for any more industrial debris. Now that you've waxed it you shouldn't get any more problems with it bonding to yer paint.
