Recommended Posts

:angry:

I have an is200, had some welding done on it and in that process had to take off negative lead off the Battery...Everything a o.k. Following day, filled up the tank..and noticed the car was lacking power.....The engine light came on.... :unsure:

Next morning started the car but would not pick up....the engine turns and tries to fire but just wont start!

These are a list of things ive tried but have had no luck :unsure:

* Ecu- Had reset

*Knock Sensors

*Fuel Injection

*Plugs all checked

*Compression

Some one please help :crybaby:

Like I said in the post above your last one, probably duff fuel because your problems started when you filled up, its flooding because it won't burn.

Only way is to drain the tank and put in fuel you know is good, I would also take the spark plugs out and dry them off and try again. If you keep on trying with something that you know is not working you will be pumping raw petrol into the exhaust and will probably knacker the cat as well.

Might be worth changing your oil filter. Had same problem with a punto. I had just filled it up as well and thought i had put duff fuel in as suddenly started losing power and was a devil to start. Turned out to be a pin prick hole in the oil filter.

Might be worth a try.
