Television

Recommended Posts

Hi to you all.

Thank you for taking part in this site becasue it has been a great help for me learning about what is going on in Lexus world.

I collect my LS430 from the dealer on Wednesday....very excited!

I have traded up from a jag, in which I had TV. I seen TV in a used vehicle but the dealer did not know where it came from!

My magic question is, does someone have a simple add TV solution?

I don't want to pay the earth, and ideally would love to be able to fit it myself...although TV ariels and stuff are clearly going to be the thing that makes or breaks a good install.

Thanks in advance.

Paul

Whatever you do, bear in mind that you'll want both analogue and digital (Freeview) tuners, ready for when they start shutting down the analogue transmitters (mind you, they haven't even upgraded ours yet!)

Do you have an AV input on the LS430?

Regards,

Gaz.

No Gaz, but I have seen LS430 with TV fitted.

Theres 2 ways then depending on what equipment the LS430 has fitted.

If it has an analogue system, you can simply put an composite video input over/into this and need nothing - other than finding the right wire, which was a nightmare in my Aristo.

Option 2 is you need an RGB/Sync convertor to work with the feed to the screen from the standard navigation system. This box is a fix, albeit not the cheapest:

And there is the audio - not going to be easy!

Thanks Luke

You really have some nice work to show.

I did get your PM, I have just been snowed under....thank you.

What should I do to proceed, from your PM I can find the sat nav box and start to guess where to splice in....but obviously I do not want to be guessing on a £60k car.

Is this somthing you could fit on my vehicle?
