according to my lexus handbook it says that i must used 215 45 ZR 17 tyres.

if i upgrade my alloys to 19" chrome do i have to get 215 45 ZR 19 tyres only?

no.... that refers to the lexus alloy wheel

Usually you would try and keep the rolling radius the same.... so if you increase the center ( 17" to 19" ) you normally reduce the tyre wall height to compensate ( 45mm to 35mm)......ok

old ... 215X45X17= OEM, mine, happy with them at present

new...215X40X18= harder ride but look good

new...215X35X19= Ouch.... :duh: ... hope you have good roads

peeps usually go slighly wider too ie 225mm

215X35X19 with lowered suspension? will the card body touch the road?

Depends how low you go..........

remember 215X35X19 is very close to the original 215X45X17 diameter so no difference there, only difference will be the suspension!

This depends if you go wider or have a different offset......
