Is200 Din Adapter

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

Recently bought an IS200 Sport and am trying to change the Lexus radio for my Sony one which I've removed from my old car. I already have a facia plate into which I've slotted my new radio ready for fitting.

I have managed to remove the Lexus radio with the very useful instructions on the forums. Now I've realised that it seems I need a wiring adapter to convert the Lexus wiring harness in order to fit my radio (standard DIN adapter).

Tried ringing around a couple of places e.g. Halfords but drew a blank.

Does anyone know whether is a wiring adapter available and where I can get one from (preferably in the UK)?

kinda dificult, most ppl change all speakers etc, as you've got a sport you've got a seperate amp, which is part of the lexus headunit, i think fargo might be able to help, i tried but in the end changed all speakers, and am now really happy with how it sounds.

Good luck

IS 200 S - standard toyota ISO connector

IS 200 S/E & Sport - Custom ISO connector

For the single / double din adapter have a look on eBay. Its an autoleads part.

PM Fargo he might be able to help with the ISO connector you need.

Thanks very much for the info.

PMed Fargo and he does indeed have a custom connector which will do the job. I am now also looking at changing the speakers as well after what I've read here and elsewhere. Is this an easy job and any recommendations on a set of good speakers that will do this job?

I'm learning as I go along here!
