Is200 Servicing Costs

Looking to put my IS200 Sport in for a 20K service.

Called Lexus Liverpool who quoted me the silly price of £351 inc VAT. A quick call to Lexus Chester cut the cost down to £280 inc VAT.

Prices seem rather on the steep side - do these look like typical prices to anyone?

Is it worth getting the car serviced by an independent garage? Does anyone do this regularly and does anyone have any recommendations on who to use?

yeah, i guess that's pretty typical lexus prices.

if you go for gold membership you could save an additional 15% :o :D

If you find yourself a good independent ie ex toyota/lexus mechanics then you are laughing.

I know there is one down Wales that i use but a little far just for a service etc.

It's a Lexus not a Formula 1 car. Don't take it to Lexus if it's out of warranty, unless you have money to burn.

Just get the service done at a decent independent, one that specialises in Toyotas would be best.

Just make sure that the parts used are gen toyota/Lexus bits. Also ensure the same level of work has been done.
