Two Tone Yellow

Had my lexus 5 months now and noticed about a month ago that the rear skirt is a slight different shade of yellow to the rest then got a bad chip in the bonnet so i took it to a local body shop and if you look in the right light you can tell the bonnet is a slight different yellow. Nobody else notices this besides me and it drives me nuts so i was thinking of taking it back to lexus to be resprayed but can they garantee an exact match?

A good body shop should get the colour spot on....

It will be more obvious now that we are getting a few sunny days.... if your not happy with their work you should have complained...

as noel said, you should have complained mate.

unfortunately for me, the bodyshop found it very hard to colour match my bonnet when i got it resprayed. reason being (so i was told) was that because i have a pearlescent finish to the paint (pearl white), although the colour may look the same from one angle, it can be ever so slightly different at another got it sorted in the end though!!!

At the time it did look spot on in there light. Looks as if i will have to go to Lexus to get it sorted propperly

Reds and Yellows fade badly - you need a good body shop capable of blending the panels in to minimise this. It's UV - and there ain't alot you can do...

Ever had a red carpet that went brownish where the sun landed on it thro' the window?

Thats true .... i had a two tone starlet...... red & pink :D
