30k Service

I have been phoning around for a price on my 30k service on my '53 reg IS200 Sport

Croydon - bought the car from here and have previously serviced here. £277 including coolant change, will also give me 10% gold discount. Said £277 is official Lexus price and others should quote the same

Guildford - £193 no coolant change, no discount for gold but will price match

Twickenham - "service dept. is with a customer" I'll e-mail them.

So do I need a coolant change at 30k? What is a fair price for service? Anywhere else near SW London/Surrey I should try?

Depends on the age of the car as well, if its a 30k after 2 year or a 30k after 3 years - the coolant needs changing at 3 years and not simply at 30k which ever is nearer.......

I paid £155 at Lexus Woodford for the 30k Service (2 year)

In that case your probably nearer 3 years old so they would give it the coolant change, best quote I had was about £240 from Canterbury.

I find the dealers a rip off. I had a simialr issue on my 40K service. Lexus Croydon quoted me £390 Bromley quoted me £360 and I ended up doing it at Reading for £260. I supplied my own oil

I changed the coolant myself and that was done within 10 min.
