Sky Digibox Question

Had the sky box (normal one) since 2000.....occaisionaly it will lock up (picture freezes and turning it off with remote or on box doesnt work) i'd switch off at the mains wait a minute switch on and off we'd go....

Now that doesnt work I now have to leave it switched off overnight for it to kick into life again...

Has anyone got any ideas why ?

when it locks up you are just channel hopping not doing anything clever

or is the box just fooked

Sounds like a dead digi box to me.

Ring sky, and if you are under contract, they should sort it out for you.

They did for me when mine went pop.

If they won't tell them your going to cancel, that will make them change their minds..

if its one of the early pace models it will be a duff internal PSU. Ring sky and give them a talking to, we went through 4 of the early pace boxes before getting a pannasonic. You could always try eBay
