hello there, i am looking at buying an is200. i have found a nice clean 1 for a good price but the traction control light is on permanantly ? the bloke reckons he took it 2 the garage and they said there is nothing wrong with the actual traction control itself. i read on here earlier something about spark plugs and coil packs could be the cause of this problem ? any advice or opinions would be grately valued, as in how likely do you think it is this is the cause of the problem. as if its just a case of changing the spark plugs i wont be put off as its done 53k miles and they are due for replacement soon anyway.

cheers

Hi and Welcome to the LOC :)

Sounds like a sensor on one of the wheels could be at fault causing the light to come on,on start up and staying on i take it?

You would be better off walking away rather then buying the car with this fault as it could be costly for you to fix if its a bigger problem than a faulty sensor.

Cheers..

Chips.
