did the S1 LS always come with the sub in the rear shelf?

I ask as I would like to get a shelf without the plastic sub cover thing.

As far as I am aware this is a standard fitment in the LS but I would imagine someone somewhere has a conversion panel, you could try a google search or ask on the US forum.

I may have to.

I have a significantly larger sub and custom box under the rear parcel shelf and the old plastic sub cover rattles like crazy when I turn it up a bit.

how'd you get the old one out without knackering it too much?

Also, struggled with getting the back of the back seats out too
