Is 200 Clutch

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Id only think about having the clutch changed when it starts to slip under load eg going up a hill, when towing a trailer or when acceleration. If its not slipping id leave it for now.

A good garage should be able to replace a clutch within a matter of hours as a rule.

Not sure of prices though.

Hope thats of some help.

Cheers..

Chips.

Hi all, Yep totally agree only replace when it starts to slip, slight clutch judder never hurt anyone, bad clutch judder will give you frothy blood!!!! Replace when it slips or if judders gets bad!

Laters Lewie. :D

There are a lot of threads on this - do a search for more views.

Mine juddered in 1st a bit, and started slipping at around 80000 miles after thrashing it from a standing start.

But I had not changed it a year later, and it really only slipped if doing the same thing.

Can get non OEM clutchs for about £150 and same for fitting.
