Anyone had their car (2006) model converted for LPG, I am looking into having this done, the first installer I visit tells me that as the car is direct injection cannot be done, will destoy the petrol injectors. Anyone please?

Thanks for that info, rang them and it appears that they will have a system in the new year which will enable direct injection cars (ie Lexus) to run on LPG without wrecking the petrol injectors.

Go for a PRINZ system I have looked at many systems and the difference is quite vast in some cases. To get one done properly you will be looking at around the £2000 mark. You get what you pay for. I have seen the PRINZ fitted to brand new X5's landcruisers Audi A8's Mercs and systems can be fitted which conceal the filler point so nobody knows your on gas and the bodywork is mint. Also I found that there are suprisingly a lot of other things to consider when purchasing, like making sure you dont get a nasty extra filler point cut out of the side of your new car! the only kits you should consider are Prins or BRC these are the best availble.Ido know there are kits availble next year for direct injection but i havent heard of the the new lexus engines being done.I was at the Prins factory in holland recently and saw the golf fsi kit they were deveolping.It may be worth waiting until the lexus has been done with no long term problems as some of these kits may be engine specific.
