92 Sc400 After Market Stereo

I had an aftermarket stereo put in my 92 SC400 because the Nakamichi was not working and the cd player was long gone -- the stereo is great but how do I wire the antenna so it goes up and down when the radio is on - right now it goes up when I turn on the engine and down when I turn it off.

If possible I would like the antenna to go down when the CD player is on and only be up when the radio is on -- but if that is not possible then how do I get the antenna to go down when I turn the radio or cd player is off?

Thanks

It sounds like the antenna is wired up to the ignition on lead. Does the radio work when the ignition is switched off completely? I'd trace the power lead back and see where it wires itself into the radio or the ignition. There should be a wire from the radio to the aerial from the back of the radio.
