Thinking Of Selling My Is200

Morning All..

I have owned 3 IS200's over the years. My current car is 4 years old on the 8th of March and it just doesn't get used very much. I am now a proud father - my son jack is 12 weeks old which means my annual milage of 3.5k a year is likely to shrink even further. My wife drives a Honda CRV and I work in the City, so I drive *very* few miles and my pride and joy just sits in the garage...

Here are the stats:

IS200 SE Auto - March 2003 - 03.

18k miles.

FLSH - Lexus Southend.

Maintained regardless of cost.

Always garaged and professionally valeted every 3 weeks (which is about every 150 miles!)

Wheels were replaced under warranty and have been fine ever since - no scrapes whatsoever!

Colour : Strathcaron Blue.

Interior: Oakham.

Current plan is to sell the IS and trade in my wife's CRV in April (when it's 3 yrs old) and maybe go for a RX400h and run just one car. An Audi A6 estate also appeals...

So, my question is - what is my IS worth if I sell it privately? Would anyone in the LOC be interested?

That's amazing! Does everybody think a 4 year old IS is really worth £10k??

I think you'd struggle to actually get £10k - think 9k would be a more achievable price, but given the condition your car is in you might get lucky with someone who realises what that's worth :)

best bet is to look through autotrader and see what similar aged/mileage cars are going for...

Looking on Autotrader.co.uk they seem to be priced betwee 10k and 11k with between 32,000 and 47,000 miles on the clock.

I'm going to put mine up for 10k on the LOC first and see if I get any interest!
