Passenger Door Won't Open

hey folks, got a new problem that's just developed.

my passenger door won't open from the outside and have to use the handle inside to open it.

i've took the door panel off to investigate and a plastic conneting type piece fell out. i'm presuming this joins the rod to the handle in some way?

would it be easy to get a hold of one of these parts? got the car booked into lexus on friday but would rather do it myself than pay through the nose.

Can you not just put it back together? It probably just "clicks" into place.

think that's what i'm gonna do. just got a quote back wanting £30 for the part, £10 postage and £7 VAT!!!!!!!

think i'll just get the glue out!!

Don't mean to sound silly, but it's nothing to do with the child lock system is it? ;)

First thing i checked mate!!

figures out it's door handle that's knackered. a wee bit's broke off that holds the plastic piece!

anybody know where i can get a new one cheap??

Childlocks prevent the door from being opened from the inside not the outside :o
