Advice please - I've seen an 02 LS 4.3 engine which I am tempted by but don't really need to change my car at all.

My wife has an IS200 which isn't nice on fuel consumption but is a fabulous car.

Would I need to tow a fuel truck behind me - most of my driving is around Merseyside so mainly city driving.

Ta!

Don't be afraid. With sensible driving you should easily return over 20 around town. The luxury and refinement of a 430 will easily compensate for the few extra quid a week. Go for it and enjoy.

I've just bought a 2004 LS430. I pick it up on friday. Once you have had a good long drive in it, the last thing you think about is fuel economy. It really is that good. I would imagine it is like everything else. The more lead in your right shoe, the more nectar points your gonna get.

My mate bought a Jag XJR and gets about 16mpg if he drives it like a nun! I get about 30mpg in my Mk 3 LS and \i always have it on ETC and occasionally fall into juvenile mode at the lights (shame on me) :whistling: ...so although his is more powerful (negligable) he can only use his at weekends....hahaha
