Car Doesn't Start

has anyone experienced the problem-in the past 6 months my car has failed to start on a number of ocasions,it is something which happens occasionaly,which is why i havent bothered my local dealer,however there was an article in a recent autocar where a lng term test car(is 300 sportcross) had the same problem,anyone any idea what is going on,apart from this the car is great.

What age/model do you have?

I have an '02 IS200SE and have had occasional problems when it's very wet. Dealer checked it over but couldn't find any fault. They were aware that the '300 had a problem that had now been fixed (ECU upgrade or something), but that they hadn't seen the same problem in the '200. They did say bring it in if it happened again, because if more than 4 customers report the same fault, Lexus GB will apparently acknowledge it as a fault and do something (??!)

Definately worth getting down to your local dealer and having a word.

thanks for the info ukpulse.the car is an is200se 99t with only 30k-its a coincidence you say it may happen in thewet as it is normally in the morning(car lives outside)or after i have washed it,next time it happens may take it to lexus norwich, after all they do a good cup of coffee

Yes yes I had this too,Lexus Reading were on the case, they have to 'apparently' re- programme your ECU,did mine since then it's been spot on :D
