New Battery In Gs300 Mk2 Now Immobilised

Recommended Posts

As in the topic, Ive had to change my Battery in my 99 mk2 GS300, I had to do this before but I cannot remember what needed to be done. I found a post by Maneesh that said to put key and turn one click and leave for 6 mins then remove key and that should do it. but Ive tried that twice now and it's not working.

Is there any other method or some other step?

I remember having to do something like this last time I changed the Battery but I cannot remember what lol

thanks and merry xmas to all :)

That's weird - I just changed the Battery in my GS430 Mk II, and didn't have to do anything at all. Just pulled the old one out and put the new one in, did up the terminals, and she started straight away.

I knew the radio didn't need a code as I'd already taken it out previously to fit a car kit, but it never occured to me that the alarm/immobiliser might need attention!!

I wonder if they have different immobilisers fitted?
