Xbox 360 Dashboard Update.

do anyone know if its possible to download the update that was released just before Christmas and install it if i dont have access to xBox Live?

Find a game with the update on, Anything that comes out in the next few months thats been published by microsoft game studios.

Take it somewhere where they have internet access to update it.

if you want it to be able to play divx It will have to be done online as theres a 2nd update to allow divx thats locked to the user account, this can only be activated via xbox live, so if the box is "banned" then you might be outta luck.

The other way would be to wait until the next Backward Compatibility Update, they tend to have the latest dash as well. Unfortunately the November one came out just a touch too soon.

Brett's looked into and it doesnt look like the Divx funtion that was released at the same time as the dash update is available in an offline format. In short, the console MUST be connected to live to get the update which is a huge spanner in the works as it was the divx function that was a selling point.
