After a 2 year search I managed to obtain by winning on eBay.com a replacement fender pole in working condition for the sum of $6.83 even with $45.00 shipping I am happy.

I agree mate, I bought bonnet struts from good ol' USA £25.84 including shipping for the pair. It just seems so ridiculous the prices we have to pay in blighty.

The fender pole has arrived!!!

Big brown box taped up and with string around it, inside was the part wrapped in cling film then 5 layers of bubble wrap each layer taped on, took me 10 minutes with scissors to break through it all but well worth it, came out intact.

Fitting tomorrow ( weather permiting).

At last the switch on the dash will do something!!
