I've not had to change them yet mate. The Falken tyres were pretty good when I got the car.

Cost me about £500 for full set,but not actually bought like that but got quoted on the basis that I would buy rears and then get fronts when needed.Done around 57k since I got the car and think I've had 3 sets rear and 2 sets front, but had good tyres when i got it. Brittania tyres in Coventry,but used Kwik Fit once and got P Zero'sfor £600 but wasn't impressed with ride or wear.

I'd say 245 40 18's are best on the front in my opinion.

As for tyres again i've tried a few brands, Dunlop SP001 Sport runflats are rubbish, far too soft, Pirelli P6000's not much better, Hankook Ventus 104 Sports, fairly good wear for a budget price tyre, good in dry albeit a bit noisy but suspect in the wet, Dunlop SP8080, had these on the rear, pretty good road holding.

Best tyre for me that suits my driving style is the Continental Contisport 2, got them on front and back, very reassuring in the wet, superb in the dry, a little soft but worth every penny, a bargain on eBay at £500 for the set in mint condition only 3 months old as verified by the date of manufacture stamp on the sidewall.

Yes, I have 245 40 18 on front too. Not tried Continental, but find Uniroyal Rainsport very good both wet and dry.
