Where Are Ls's Built?

Hi everyone, does anyone know where the ls is built (maybe a really silly Q !!!).

I think im right in saying lexus (toyota) built them fot the american market and obviously sold in japland and europe ,but where do uk spec care originate. Mines a 95.

i was under the impression that all the Lexus' (old generations anyway) were built in Japan. i could well be wrong though

steve mines a 96 MK3 and it says "made in Japan" on the windscreen - wonder why they had to make it so prominent - it as same with my Camry

My LS430 says built in Japan on the windscreen as did my old 2001 GS300. I would say they all come from the land of the rising sun.

Lexus were originally made in two factories in Japan , Kyushu Toyota and Tahara, Aichi. they are now made world wide

Hi Steve, pretty sure that all LS models are still only made in Japan. The first letter of the VIN identifies the country of production. J = Japan.

Have a look at the production list link it tells you where each model is made ;) , the LS is made in Tahara.
