Is300 5-speed

Just started. 1 and 2 gear ok. Once I shift into 3rd, 4th, 5th it feels like there is transmission slippage once I get pass 3K on the tach. I've only had the car a few months and don't have the slightest ideal what to check. Is the transmission sealed or can the fluid be checked? Any other thoughts and ideals from the old pros? Any help will be greatly appreciated as I'm suppose to head out of town the 12 of March.

It doesn't happen as bad or noticable when I drive super easy and keep the car under 3K on the tach. Again, thanks.

sounds like a slipping clutch, try to hold onto the biting point on the clutch just that little bit longer, give it more time to engage.

Whats the mileage on it?

Yup deffo sounds like new clutch time....

If there was a prob with the gearbox itself you would be hearing all manor of strange noises LOL.

Thanks. Yeah I concure. Looks like clutch slippage. Car has approx 100K+. Bought it a few months back so not sure when clutch was last replaced. Sounds pricey, though................

If it is the same clutch as the UK IS200 models then they can be had over here for £190, so I can imagine they are fantastic prices over there. Not sure about fitting though.
