My IS250's in for service next week and I'd like them to sort out the rattle which comes from around the seat belt fixing on the door frame. I've read on here before that there's a technical service bulletin for fixing the seat rattle, but I'm concerned that if I take the car in and ask for them to be fixed as per the TSBs, I'm going to be either looked at as if I'm from Mars or given a good fobbing off. Does anyone have any TSB refs I could blind them with?

Many thanks in advance.

I've been troubled by this rattle for quite a while now. The passenger seat belt housing rattles and I took the car in to get it fixed but it's still the same. Now for the last couple of months my seatbelt housing makes a plastic creak whenever it goes over a road imperfection or pothole etc. I also am convinced the plastic rattle when going over bumps is coming from the grab handle above the window next to my ear. I also get the occasional plastic "crack" sound from the centre console near the gear when going over bumps. It can totally ruin the driving experience. Quiet engine but hear loads of rattles - what's the all about then ?

So as it stands at moment I have....

- plastic creak from grab handle / seat belt housing when going over a bump.

- plastic creak from centre console (intermittent).

- Rattling sound from passenger seatbelt housing (not fixed from last time).

Other than this the car is spot on but.....aaaarrrrgggghhhh the rattles and creaks !!!!
