Been following some of the threads on spark plugs and just come across these on e-bay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEXUS-LS400-32V-8-x-...1QQcmdZViewItem

Anyone got thoughts on whether they are worth using, or to stick to getting the via the USA dealers mentioned.

Aiming to get the LS400 serviced and cambellted soon, so want to make sure I get the best out of the engine especially with the price of petrol meaning I might have to sell the kids into slavery. :winky:

I bought 8 iridium for my LS430 off eBay (different seller), for £25.00, i asked the specific question "are they genuine", he said yes, they were un boxed and looked genuine see

http://www.globaldenso.com/PLUG/feature_ar...2005/09_2a.html

but i did suffer from slight "engine wobble" but it looks like a few other people with genuine plugs suffered the same issue, due to badly fitted plugs. if they are not genuine then you can send them back. other wise it would have cost me £13.00 each whcih work out at 4 times the cost.

I would go for NGK or Denso irridium rather than the bosch as they are only copper electrode (i think)

If you are thinking of going LPG as your other post, then don't use platinum plugs, they don't work with it. iridium are fine as are standard plugs. Make sure they are gapped correctly, any garage that does a conversion and has to "regap" the plugs hasn't done the conversion properly and are covering up poor setup....
