Running Cars On Sugar

Read today in the paper that thanks to Fiat Brazil has 13,200 outlets selling fuel made from sugar cane for just 42p a litre and that accounts for half the fuel needs of the country, this is not only cheaper but more environmentally friendly than petrol/diesel, sugar cane can also be grown in other country's inc: Portugal China and others, Fiat are not the only ones looking into this new fuel Toyota, BMW, Peugeot, VW, Nissan and Renault are aswell. Hopefully this won't only apply to new cars and any older models will be able to be converted to run on it because Brazil has more than enough to last without replanting for the next six years, so if other countries get into this then we will have a environmentaly friendly renuable petrol alternative at well over half the price.

That is until the Government tax us to F :tsktsk: k on it like they do with everything else.

pretty sure its been produced from sugar cane since the late 80s/early 90s.

There is nothing to stop you growing your own and using 2000 litres tax free ;)
