New Windscreen

Managed to flick up a stone and chip my sceeen last night, which promptly started a hairline crack what was extending by the minute. Got on to AA insurance about 10:30pm who passed me on to Autoglass, who promptly came and fitted a new one today for my £50 excess. I know they inflate prices for the insurance companies but saw the total price on their copy of the receipt... £516!!! :o

Judging by the previous posts i saw there were leak issues which i mentioned to the fitter who assured me that it would be sealed well and is all fully guaranteed against leaks etc. Lets hope it live up to his word. I noted it was pilkington glass too.

I was looking over my car and it looks like there's little heated sections for the windscreen wipers at the bottom of the windscreen. That might be part of why it's so expensive?

Bet you're glad you didn't have to pay for that one!
