Ordered New Rx 400h Multiple Answers To A Sipmple Question

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me the answer to this question.

We have just order a RX 400h SR.

The Glasgow dealer has told us that the SR comes with rain sensing wipers.

If I check the web site it states that only the SE models have this as standard.

I called the dealer and the SR model of the floor has the RS wipers.

Lexus UK Don't know. I spoke to two different customer advisers and one said yes the other said no.

I love the car so I will take it with or without.

Just don't want to miss something I paid for.

The demonstrator I am sure had them but now I am starting to question if it was an actual SR.

Apart from this I am looking forward to my first Lexus.

According to this LINK I'd say it doesn't have them................seems to be a base model with electric leather seats and metallic paint

Thanks I think your correct.

Its very odd the demo car had them. (I think I will go back and check the demo car).

I will keep you posted with an update when I pick the car up.

To be honest I think I can live with moving my finger to turn them on and off :winky:

Perhaps you test drove an SE? Visually is there any way to tell any difference? Or is it just little features like the rain sensing wipers?

I have a July 2007 SR, and confirm that mine has RS wipers.

As far as I recall, the only things missing from the SR compared to the SE are a) powered tailgate, B) adaptive lighting, c) memory seats, d) motorised steering wheel movement, and e) sunroof. None of those things was a big deal for me and I've been very happy with my SR.

Same, I have 400h SR model and dncm1 mentioned all deference between SR and SE, I love my SR I prefer, be coz less electronics less chance for failure ;) and if you consider then not very important.

Regarding rain sensing wiper I think i got them, will double check.

But want to mention one thing i am missing, on SR when you put in R mirrors will not tilt down -)))))))

The selector switch for the mirrors must be set towards the left or right mirror for the mirror to dip.

Can't remember if both dip or just the selected one
