Lpa800 Parking Sensors

Hi all

I'm trying to decide between a used 250SE or a 250SEL. One feature I like on the SEL is the parking sensors. I've been told that if the Lexus LPA800 parking sensors are added as an extra onto the 250SE they're not as well integrated with the multimedia screen as those that are fitted as standard on the SEL. Can anyone tell me if this is true and if so what the differences are?

I believe the dealer fit ones just beep, unlike the ones on the SE-L that show a visual on the display as well.

Although there are extra sensors on the front with the 800: the standard set-up on the SE-L MM with 2 sensors on the front is ok for warnings regarding obstructions likely to be swiped by the corners, but wouldn't be of use in tonking something straight in front. More a requirement for women drivers though :P
