Hi guys, quick question if i may.

Might sound daft but could i cause any damage/staining of the paint if i leave my weathershield car cover on the IS for an extended period of time?? I'm off to the states tomorrow and will be back on 30th Decemeber so was planning to leave it under the cover till then. The car will be outside, so subject to the elements, lol.

Cheers

rob

It depends on what type of cover it is and how it is secured. There is obviously a risk of damage of rubbing depending what "material" is touching the car and if it can move in the wind. I'd ask the question of the retailer / manufacturer.

Weathershield manufacture the Lexus cover that I have and I regularly leave the car outside with the cover on for the three to four week periods I'm usually in the States. No problems at all as long as the cover is on a CLEAN car. It's also the only time I use the rope under the car to the centre loops on the cover rather than just rely on the elasticated ends.
