Locking And Alarm

Recommended Posts

until 2001 models the deadlocks were always active and the second press turned off the interior motion sensor.

From 2001 onwards the second press was needed to deadlock the doors and some complex procedure is needed to disable the interior sensors so the easiest way is just to lock the door with the key if you have somebody/thing in the vehicle which would set the alarm off.

mines 2001 and the second press disables the interior alarm and un-deadlocks the door. That makes sense as the second press is for when someone is waiting in the car. if the deadlock didnt come off they couldnt get out in an emergancy

on the first press i cant open the door and if i move the alarm goes off

second press i can move about and open the door from inside only

the whole point of the second press is so if someone waits in the car you can lock it for safety without the alarm going off. it would be dangerous for the car to be deadlocked aswell, the passenger would be stuck in the car
