Converting Sat Nav And Tv From Japanese Spec

Hi All,

I just bought SC430, 2002 model with Japanese Spec, and want to convert the Sat Nav and TV from Japanese spec to English version where I can upload new maps etc.

Can anyone provide advise with this problem? I live in Malaysia and dont have many racecourses here to find a solution.

I don't think you can unfortunately - you'd need to buy aftermarket satnav and tv tuners and get those hardwired into the system unless it has an aux input?

There's a guy who runs a website called driveandview.com I think it is, might be worth emailing him as he's an expert on these cars and seeing as you're so far away may be able to tell you all the details you need :)

I did see of someone who took the system from a UK car and hacked up the wiring loom to fit a JDM import which also worked, but that would be a harder option just actually finding one!
