All Four Heated Seats Not Working

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I recently got hold of an L reg LS400, everything on it seems sound thus far, but, all four of the heated seats dont get warm!?

I have checked the fuses, they are fine, and the little green LEDs light up when the button is pressed.

Any ideas?

-oh on a side note - my cigarette lighter doesnt work either?

Hi and welcome to the LOC,

There is a common problem with the heater elements failing in the front seats and replacement is the only option.

listen under the seat as you switch them on and you should hear a relay click letting you know power is getting there.

As far as I am aware the rear seats are not heated on the year of LS you have except for F spec imports that have heated and massaging seats.

As for the cigar lighter swap it over with the rear one and see if that sorts it or check the fuse it is # 5 in the drivers side panel.

Cheers,

steve

Theres a cigarette lighter in the back!? :-0 I should really get into the back and have a proper look around!

Drivers side panel? I had a quick look a few days ago under the throttle pedal (where I normally find the fusebox), but didnt see anything looking like a fuse panel/box - where is it exactly? (would save me scrambling around with knees on the floor looking for it)

Hi

Sit in the car and look at your right foot, move your right foot as far right as it will go from the accelerator and you will hit a plastic panel that is infront of the door, this is where you will find the fuse box, there should be a little door to open, it's a pain to see, a torch and mirror help...

Oh and if you borrow the wifes mirror from her handbag for god sake remember to return it :whistling:
