getting on fine with mine, had a little freezing issue which seems to have been down to the battery.

Coolio, how have you found the rooted phone ?? have u got anything that really stands out that I cant get, due to me not having it rooted ?

The new google earth with street view works a treat on the G1 just had a quick go, with compass mode on it follows where ever you point it, very smooth indeed.

Woke up the other day to a message saying update now or later so i clicked now.

5 mins later the whole phone had been updated to im guessing the newest firm ware or what ever they call it.

Really nice menus etc, even got a video recorder on it now which I was massively suprised about.

Only down side some of the app on it wont run but the developers are updating them to work with this new firm ware.

I'm trying to get an HTC Magic at the mo but Vodafone aren't playing ball with me with regard to the upgrade price so far.........

Anyhoo, one of the things a lot of people are moaning about is how the magic doesn't have voice dialling built in, does the G1 have it? Had a play with a Magic for the first time last week and it is a really cool OS, I'm actually quite excited about getting one now, if they'd just offer me a better deal!

Isnt the magic the same as a G1 just the american version ? Over here i think the G1 is only available on T mobile i think.

As far as i know it doenst have voice dialer but im sure they'll be an app for it, theres loads of voice apps out there for taking notes etc like a dictaphone.

Im just impressed with the update which installed a video recorder, and the new virtual keyboard with spelling recognition
