Rear Fog Light Conversion On 1998 - 2004 Gs300

I have done a search but not come up with anything?

I would like to do a conversion on my rear fogs for my Mk2 GS and make them running lights, but, I have no idea where to start looking and I am not prepared to spend thousands of pounds doing so.

Is there a kit or an easy way to convert the fogs into running lights? Has anyone any info on this, if you do, I would appreciate your thoughts or any links that you may have.

Lastly, do any kits have the facility to "up" the brightness so the lights still function as fogs when necessary?

The existing bulbs are dual filament. You just need to connect them to the number plate light circuit.

The fogs are dual filament? I thought they were single. You would have to install dual filement holders and connect the low watt side to a permanent supply (to be on all the time regardless of light switch position). The high wattage filement should still function as normal fogs.

Remember that In Japan the bootlid lights wouldn't be fogs. They were probably wired as stop/tail lamps, and Toyota wouldn't fit different bulb holders if it wasn't absolutely necessary.
