Connecting An Ipod To Your Lexus

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Has anyone connected their Ipod to their Lexus using after market products?

I have an RX400h and am looking at this device

Kenwood KOS-A210

It is quite expensive to get fitted, £350, but I like the fact it charges and you have control over the tunes its playing. I also like the fact it turns off the Ipod when you switch off the engine. The only concern I have is it hard connects into the ariel port, not sure how good the quality will be.

If anyone has any advice or feedback on this or any products please do reply.

Thanks

Al

I have just spoken to Lexus who have informed me there is a Lexus Ipod Interface kit, which I am having fitted next month. Not sure how good it is, but I would rather have a Lexus fitted product.

Has anyone had this done to their cars? Any good?

There's definitely a few mk2 IS owners who have the iPod kit, and I think the interface is quite similar between the cars so have a look through those threads for more info :)

I have Lexus kit in my RX 350 - works a treat. Not very sophisticated (only shows playlists) but works fine for me. My dad has Vaistech fitted in his LS and it is great - shows artist, title etc
