Ticking Noise?

Over the last week a ticking noise which happens when l accelarate from 1st gear is really ****** me off.

Iv not looked under the bonnet yet, but it also happens when l boot it and put the foot down.

Anyone want to hazard a guess or had this before?

Hi could be the gaskets on the exhaust by the cats, is it worse when cold. or a bust erg pipe back of the engine,let us know which area of the engine its comming from.

Yeah mate, its worse when cold and stops when heated up. Iv still not had a min to look under the bonnet but im pretty sure its coming from the front of the car.

Where should i check for the above mate.

Hi sounds like a leak on the exhaust system, its normally the gaskets by the cats or the flanges which clamp them in. the gaskets are about £8 each. If its the flanges its a welding job neither is too major, pop the bonnet & you should find where its comming from.
