Headlight Mods For Rear Lights

the mod of painting the headlights black can this be done for the rear lights anyone tried it. i know the later is has smoked lights but the whole light is smoked from what i have seen i want to keep the red bit red if possible. i have a black is so was planning of blacking the front headlights and removing the amber lense and blacking the back lights also. so can you get the lense covers of the rear lights in the same way as the front ???

I've have done this mod on my car. It was quite simple, like mat says the lens needs to be cut off. I used a dremel with a cutting disc to remove mine and once i got in to the swing of things managed to get the lens off in about 20mins.

Once the lens is off, the chrome interior just pulls out similar to the headlights and the red portion is held in with some plastic tabs.

You'll have to use silicone sealant to reattach the lens and maintain a watertight seal, i used clear silicone on mine which is very difficult to notice.

I'll get some pictures up of what mine look like.
