How To Remove The Radio From 2006 Gs 300

Recommended Posts

I've got a Dice ipod lead to fit to my cars stereo, but not sure how to take out the radio, on the IS and previous GS I started by yanking out the air vents at the top, they dont seem to move on the new GS.

Any one have a link to a guide?

Many Thanks

Hi, not got a link to a guide but :

Unscrew the auto shifter knob (just grasp it and turn anti clockwise )

Starting near the centre armrest lift the wood trim clear, remove the two cheek panels from the transmission tunnel pull the small trim panel under the audio off and now you can see the retaining screws for the whole unit, dont try to yank the air vents out as they are not the key to this !!

Take care that wood trim is huge money to replace.

Good luck, regards Tony
