Just Thought I Would Share

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Would like to just say i made a topic on here a month or so ago about slippery back end and the options of tyres.

On saturday i went to my friends garage and got 2 very healthy part worns for the back ( one toyo and one pirelli)

only instead of 215/40/17 i got 225/40/17. I can honestly say the car is 100% better. the cheap budgets that where on it when i bought it where shockingly bad. The tyres cost me £50 for both and becasue the two that i had taken offstill had good amount of tread on i swapped one for the spare tyre which was baldy

just thought i would share incase anyone wanted to go wider

There's no problem fitting 225 on the standard 7" rim & as long as the tread pattens are similar and you're happy with the grip, for £50 who cares. The AS300 Gita wagons actually come with 225/45 OE fitment on the rear, although they run a 7.5" rim.
