I have a picture of Danni Minogue sat on my knee in a bar in Turkey, circa 1996 ( when she still looked pretty "amazing girl next door" moments after leaving that bar I was nearly shot by a turkish copper for standing on the street not in the bar! that was a F*cked up day!!

I did enjoy chatting her up but I was not really sure oif her celeb status as I don't watch much TV. I just thought she had a famous sista, DOH! :P

Anyway, she never calls or writes so I guess she must have found a better knee to perch on these days...

We did a job for the Crown Prince of Qatar back in the mid nineties.

I learned a very big, very important lesson - never judge a book by it's cover.

This very young Arab guy (looking about 12 but was probably about 18) approached me at the London performance car show at Olympia and started asking me about turbcharging and other bits and pieces on a brand new Toyota Landcuiser. I didn't take him seriously at all, but he kept phoning me until I eventually got fed up and priced the job for a bit of peace and quiet.

The price for what he wanted came to about £50k which was lot of money in those days, I thought he would fill his pants at the quote.

It was not until he asked me to come to his house in Mayfair to collect a deposit, that I found out who he was.

The Landcruiser was flown in specially from Qatar to have the work done.

Believe me, I have never made the mistake again of prejudging someone by their looks.

Maybe my little story may be of some use to you.
