Had an excellent time racing Rod Stewart in his Diablo, when I was in my DB7.

Passed him on the A1 then he took the bait. We stopped at some lights at South Mimms roundabout and he complimented me on my car so did the same in return (wanted to compliment him on his choice of women, Penny Lancaster was with him, but my missus would have gone mental ;) ) Then after a couple of "off the line getaways" at the lights around the roundabout he asked if I wanted to go for it at the last set before the M25 :yahoo::yahoo:

Sure enough we did and had an excellent race until we got into the usual M25 moving car park.

Nice bloke - they even gave us a wave when he pulled off at his turning :)

Frankie Howerd used to be a family friend, he came on various outings & holidays with us when I was a nipper.

Chris Eubank often eats at "Richards" in Brighton when I'm there. He will insist on parking his "jeep" just outside and turning the stereo up. Have chatted to him, but can't understand a word he says! ;)

Had a barney with Keith Floyd, all because I didn't want a piece of his birthday cake! Mind you, we were both p*ssed and I was gonna be  if I ate anything!

I've met (in no particular order)

Noel Edmonds (opening a sports shop in Bristol)

Midge Ure (fitted MIDI card to his laptop)

Adam Hart-Davis (sorted out his Lotus organiser and also met him when he did a science experiment at the college where I worked)

Tony Robinson (Had a problem with his Compaq (don't we all))

Michaela Strachen (Advised her on replacing an ink cartridge)

Laurence Poncy Bowen (Saw at Lanzarote airport and avoided hime like the plague)

Bloke who plays Charlie in Casualty (pub in Clifton)

Prince Charles (overtook him on the M4 (him and his police escorted Aston Martin soon went past me at 95)

Assorted local BBC presenters

Don't really like to admit it, but I also met Gary Glitter  . A lot of the above, including Gary were while I was head technician at PC World Bristol. It was my day off when Gary was actually caught, but I heard all about the gruesome details the following day.
