very impressive :) i believe someone on this forum recently posted that when they bought their car that the CD system broke... perhaps this is what she/he is looking for :)

WOW, let me get this straight, your lex head unit failed (as they all do) so you have fitted the kenwood stereo and all it's workings to the lexus face plate as an alternative to fitting the kenwood to a autoleads type fascia????

That's impressive, very nice, thats what i call thinking outside the box, nothing i could attempt, wires & soldering freak me out big time!!!!

yes! brains and screen is from kenwood unit. all button connections from kenwood are wired to connections on is200 face plates pcb. all buttons work, but i have to learn whitch button is where :)

since kenwood`s volume knob was digital type and lexus stereo`s vol knob is analog, i now have volume knob where audio control knob was on is200 stereo, since it`s digital too. thats good for me since i am LHD and that sucked that my vol knob was on passengers side :)
