Can't Get Out My Front Fog Light , Help Please!

Recommended Posts

Hi all!

Today I tried to change the bulb in the front passenger fog light. I followed the manual and removed the 2 screws.

The whole light should come out , but this one is just loose a bit and moving inside . Don't want to slide out.

My question is there anything else should be removed? How do I take it out without braking it?

I enclose the instruction as well. Thanks! Regards!

dont you have to take the cover off from your front wheels and then access it throught there?

where did you get that manual from? can you email it to me?

I was thinking about the same. I'll try that tomorrow. The manual came with my car when I bought it.

It is the picture from the car's manual scanned and posted... :-)

i just got it from the back remove the clips on the inner wheel arch and the 2-3 10mm screws holding the plastic shrowd under the car.

once you have done that u can just get ur arm inside, behind the spot light and thats it u can replace bulb without trying to force the light unit out

i had the same problem when i was trying to change my foglight bulbs. the passenger side came out easily, but the driver side was a pain in my left testicle, it took half hour of persuasion to take out.

but what you will find if your is anything like mine, the passenger side wire for bulb is very very short, and its easy to take out, but impossible to put back in without removing the shroud from underneath.

personally i think you will save a lot of time and frustration if you just remove the shroud from underneath which takes only minutes, and then you can stick your whole hand in and change the bulbs without removing the light itself.

Hi !

Thanks for all the help! I gave up . My knees are frozen. I'll give the bulb to the Lexus service guy when I'll take my car there.

My service is due in about 2 weeks anyway. Instead to freeze to death I'll have cup of tea now. Cheers, Regards
