Oxygen Sensor Spacer

Hi there,

I have read on some other threads on this ofrum about Oxygen sensor spacers and wondering, if they are effective? I suppose here are people with performace de-cat exhausts installed, which should result in the same ECU error. How did you overcome that? Would this simple solution work on the IS200? Second part of the question - how many Oxygen sensors has the car got? I assume there are 3 of them - 2 pre-cat and 1 post-cat. Correct me, if I am wrong. I checked the scheme in the workshop manual, but not sure if I got it right. If so, I assume, that fitting a spacer on the post-cat oxygen sensor could cheat it into thinking that the emissions are fine?

3 is right.... not sure because the sensor has a spacer on it already.
