Tyre Woes

Recommended Posts

well ive been offered a set of tyres for £50 each but looking at the proxies now

I just got Proxes put on after going from original Ykos from Japan, then Avon ZZ1s.

The Yokos were great in dry, pants in wet, soft compound, modest noise.

The Avons were good in dry, very pants in wet, loud road noise - compund too hard - but they did last ages.

The Proxes are great in dry, good in wet, but medium/soft compound. Low road noise! :)

I got 225/40/18s for £105+VAT in S.London, which was pretty decent, includfing fitting, balancing, valves etc.

Proxes rock.
