I've just bought a RX450h and the fuel consumption is well below the published figures. I can only get around 33mpg. Lexus advertise 44mpg so I'm really annoyed about it. Is anyone else having the same experience?

Not a problem - just reality. The official figures are based on tests which are totally unrealistic compared to real world driving.

Just enjoy the fact you have 2 tonne luxury SUV that does 33mpg!

I'm the same - average since new according to computer = 32 mpg - I'm sure that's not correct as I've only just got 850 miles on the clock and have gone through 30 gallons - and that's about 28 mpg.

But as Rillo says, it's a luxury motor and it will get better as it's run in...
