then a conversion like steviewevies is a good option, a smallish turbo that gives you the power but good driveability.

then find a garage you trust to do it

who's steviewevies any pics or spec but i want over the 300bhp mark

see thats what you have to think aboutas youll lose reliability if you just strap a turbo to a standard engine and go for 300, and you may lose some confort depending on the turbo as you can have some lag and then a big jolt.

from my own opinion id speak to silverline (tell him i recommended him) and see if he can offer you an option.

d6ngr if you are serious about doing this i would get a quote on insurance to cover a car with such mods on it - you did say before you couldnt afford to insure an is300 and i think that would be much much cheaper to insure - you need to factor in insurance to any budget as if you and whichever garage you choose put time effort and money into a car you need it covered properly in case it goes walkies or similar
